Alexin, LLC welcomes Bluffton, Indiana and
Wells County, Indiana Community Leaders to Break Ground on its Green Field Billet Facility

BLUFFTON, Ind., April 17, 2008 - Tom Horter, President of Alexin LLC, welcomed Bluffton and Wells County Community Leaders to the new company’s "official" ground-breaking ceremony. "While we are well underway in our construction phase," Horter said, "this opportunity on a beautiful spring day to welcome the Bluffton and Wells County business community leadership to our site is something we have been anxiously awaiting. We are pleased to be here and looking forward to completing the build phase and starting production." The first cast is planned for Halloween night. "Hot Metal on Halloween," added Horter, an industry veteran, who leads Alexin’s experienced management team.

Alexin announced its intention to build its first manufacturing facility in Bluffton last November. "Construction is progressing well,” commented Mr. Horter, in regards to Alexin’s new 110,000 square foot facility, which will provide high-quality aluminum extrusion logs and billets. Proximity to a regionally focused customer base attracted Alexin to the Bluffton community in Northeast Indiana, but Horter confirmed that "the key for us is to be part of a community. Bluffton’s business environment made us feel extremely welcome."

Alexin’s state of the art, environmentally efficient remelt equipment will greatly enhance the extrusion industry’s ability to participate more effectively in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEEDS) green building effort. The LEEDS program utilizes recycled materials from regionally sourced content in the development or renovation of public and private buildings. Alexin is strategically located to assist the designers and architects with material planning, as the company will be using large volumes of regionally created aluminum scrap as an input product. When processed, this recycled scrap will result in high-quality, filtered aluminum extrusion billet and log for commercial use.
